9/11 Memorial Workout

Why: In memory of the 343 Firefighters that perished on 9-11 & the hundreds of other Firefighters that have died from illnesses caused by inhalation & exposure to toxic substances after the towers collapsed.

On September 11, 2001, 343 FDNY firefighters perished at the twin towers. In one day, the nation’s fire service lost more fire fighters than the average line of duty deaths for 3-4 years combined. Sadly, the number of FDNY deaths from 9/11 related illnesses may soon surpass the number of those who died that day.

As a country, we promised that we would never forget. This memorial workout is a small gesture of what we promised. On top of taking time out to honor their memory, we are going to donate all entry fees & donations from this workout to “The Yard Foundation”. This 501c3 is the leading resource for helping Firefighters and their families in their time of need. In the short amount of time The Yard Foundation has existed (2 years), they have already donated over $500,000 dollars to individual Firefighters in need, their families and other non-profits that support Firefighters & their families.

How: Entry Fee per person is $30. Any additional donations will also be donated directly to The Yard Foundation.

There will be two workout options.

Option 1: Compete

343 Air Squats

To compete for the first place or runner-up prize pack. You must choose option 1.

Option 2: Support the cause

1 Mile Run

110 push-ups

110 air squats

110 sit ups
